RINCON DE LA VIEJA NATIONAL PARK

The Rincon de la Vieja National Park is one of the active volcanoes the country has. Visiting the hiking trail at Las Pailas sector, attractions like the steam vents, mud pots, water pods, mini volcano and the waterfall (seasonal) gives the perfect combination between geology and biology together.

Las Pailas trails is one of the most visited sector of the park, even though other trails are also open. The geothermal activity visited just blows you out! Just watching the bubbling and the vapor coming out of the ground and the water mud pots making steam noise and sounds is just epic. The colors on the ground due to the volcanic minerals and odors makes you understand the power of nature.

A tropical hummed forest, lush and evergreen gives us the opportunity to look for wildlife. Toucans, monkeys, agoutis and coatis are the most common seeing wildlife on this trails. Trees with more than a century of life, are the hosts of this forest so just admiring their size and shapes is impressive.
